While the second University tennis team was defeating Newton High at Woburn, 6 to 1, yesterday afternoon, the Freshmen were dropping their match at Andover with only one victory out of nine encounters.

Only two of the second team matches with Newton were hard fought. One of these L. H. Gordon '27 dropped to his Newton opponent. G. D. Debevoise '26 pulled the other match out of the fire after dropping the second set.

Showing a complete reversal of form the Freshmen saved only one match from a fast-playing Andover team. J. C. Ructer and H. W. Sayles by their victory in the first doubles match saved the Freshmen from a complete shutout.
