GOLFERS TEE OFF FOR SEASON WITH OPENING MEETING TODAY

The golf season will open today with a meeting at 1.05 o'clock in Grays 11, when all candidates for the University team will assemble. Practice will begin at Oakley tomorrow.

The outlook for a championship team this season is better than it has been for many years. Of last year's team which won all its matches four members will play this season. These veterans are Clark Hodder '25, who will captain the team, J. J. Mapes '25, C. L. Peirson '25, and W. G. Soule '25.

The remaining two places should be hotly contested. E. S. Stimpson '27, who captained and played with distinction on last year's Freshman team, is a likely aspirant. C. J. Henderson '26 will also contest for a place.
