There will be a meeting in Smith Halls Common Room at 5 o'clock today for all Freshmen interested in tennis. Coach Cowles will address the meeting and outline the work for the coming season. Practice will begin on Monday in the Freshman Athletic Building, where fundamentals of service and stroke will be emphasized until courts are ready for use.
This indoor practice, which has formerly been given to University and Freshman players alike, is given only to Freshmen this year.
The Freshman schedule, which has just been announced, includes a number of strong opponents:
May 2, M. I. T. 1928; May 6, Andover; May 9, University of Pennsylvania 1928; May 13, Exeter; May 16, Dartmouth 1928; May 20, Newton High; May 23, Yale 1928.
Freshman tennis manager candidates will report at the meeting in Smith Halls. The winner of the competition, which will end about May 20, will be awarded his tennis numerals.
