"Haggerty will not appear before the N. E. A. A. U.", insisted Coach Farrell yesterday. "The A. A. U. is not justified in asking him to explain his non-appearance and failure to compete in the Legion Games of last Monday. I was responsible for his withdrawal and I will do any appearing that has to be done."
"Haggerty is the one who must appear," said J. F. Facey, member of the registration committee of the N. E. A. A. U., when interviewed last night. "Too many athletes withdrew on Monday. The committee cannot ignore the matter. Haggerty, as one of those delinquents, must answer with the rest. Farrell may come, but Haggerty must come."
