HARRIERS CHOOSE HAGGERTY TO CAPTAIN THE 1928 TEAM

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Ellsworth Charles Haggerty '27, of Allston, Mass., was unanimously chosen captain of the 1926 University cross country team at a meeting of the letter men yesterday.

Haggerty was on his freshman cross country team, and has developed into one of the best distance runners the University has had in years. He was injured before the Intercollegiate cross country race, but was able to place thirty-second among the best harriers of the country.

The prospects for Captain Haggerty's team next year are bright. Although the loss of Captain Tibbetts of this year's team will be felt keenly, Luttman, O'Neil and Gordon, out of this year's runners will return to form a nucleus for 1926.
