GHERARDI ELECTED TO LEAD NEXT YEAR'S SOCCER TEAM

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Walter Rockwell Gherardi, Jr. '27 of Chevy Chaso, Md., was yesterday elected captain of the University soccer team.

Gherardi, who captained his Freshman team, played outside right for the Crimson booters this season. In the Princeton game he was severely injured, and was unable to play the final games with the team.

The soccer team this year did not have a successful season, although it held Yale to a tie score. With a large number of this year's squad, including Captain J. A. Mackinnon '27, W. E. Trevvett '27, K. B. Crooks '27, L. L. Driggs '28, available next season, prospects for Captain Gherardi's eleven are bright.
