MASSEY PRAISES CARNEGIE NATIONAL THEATRE MEETING

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A splendid idea, and one which is significant of the growing recognition of the part which college theatricals are taking in the development of present day drama," said Coach G.E. Massey '15 in commenting upon the first national Conference on the American Theatre to be held at the Carnegie Institute of Technology of Pittsburgh November 27 and 28.

"The Carneige Institute has done some very fine work with its laboratory theatre. Men like Mr. B. Iden Payne, a former producer, and several men who have been connected with college dramatic work have given their full time to the Pittsburgh institute. As yet we have heard no definite word concerning the coming conference, although Harvard will doubtless be represented."

John Galsworthy, noted English author, has granted the Institute special permission to produce one of his plays at the conference. B. Iden Payne will direct its production.
