The 1928 Basketball quintet defeated Choate School Saturday in a loosely played game 24 to 19.

The Freshmen seemed confused during the first part of the game by the strange court and missed chance after chance to score by careless passing and inaccurate shooting. They retained their lead throughout the first half, however, because of especially good work by Barbee and Oothout who was substituted for Meisenbach late in this period and played the remainder of the game. Oothout has been showing rapid improvement during the last week, and his play Saturday was marked by a heads-up defense play and clever shooting.
