NINE NEW INSTRUCTORS BEGIN THEIR WORK IN ENGLISH A

Teaching Staff Enlarged by Two Men in Required Composition Course

The first meeting of English A was held yesterday at 4.30 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall, Nine new instructors have been engaged to replace seven, who have left. Those who have gone are Messrs. J. Auslander '17, J. W. Brewer, L. G. Burgevin, W. C. Starr, H. W. Taeusch, and Burke Boyce '22. Mr. J. W. Brewer is studying in Harvard, Messrs. W. C. Starr, H. W. Taeusch, and E. M. Wright are tutors in the English department. Mr. Burke Boyce, who has been in Europe during the past summer, will return to go into literary work in New York.

The new instructors are Messrs. F. E. Bowman, J. M. Carpenter, J. R. Derby, T. M. Hatfield, A. J. McMullen, E. G. Nash, G. L. Richardson, Jr. and M. Roberts.
