LEADER ENTERS FIRST YALE EIGHT IN OLYMPICS

UNIVERSITY EIGHT AGAIN ROWS OVER FOUR-MILE COURSE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Coach Leader of Yale is taking a task upon himself rarely assumed by a Yale coach heretofore. He will enter the Yale university crew in the Olympic trials on June 14 in Philadelphia, which means that he will change the Yale eight from a long distance crew to a sprint crew for the Olympics and back again into a long distance eight in time to row the University on June 20.

Needless to say, lie is sending to Philadelphia a crew which will almost surely win, since it has beaten all its rivals heretofore by wide margins. The Yale eight will do an enormous amount of hustling to make the shift from Red Top to Philadelphia and back to Red Top again.

New London, Conn., June 4.--Coach Stevens' first eight went over the four-mile course yesterday and the boat went much more smoothly. The oarsmen look forward to Sunday, when Mr. J. P. Morgan sends his yacht, the "Corsair", to Red Top to give the men a ride during all of Sunday.
