New London, Conn., June 15.--The news that Yale's famous crew had won in record time the right to represent the United States at the Olympic games next month was received here today with little surprise by those who had seen the oarsmen working out on the Thames. In commenting on the mile and a quarter race at Philadelphia, which Yale won by three-quarters of a length from the Navy Officers, Coach Stevens tonight told the CRIMSON'S representative at Red Top that the Yale crew had performed a marvelous feat.

"It takes a remarkable crew to row the race Yale rowed," he said, "and I tender my hearty congratulations. It is a wonderful testimony to Coach Leader's ability.

"We will be prepared," he continued, "to give our very best to beat Yale on the four mile course next Friday."
