Mr. Harbert G. Pell '05, chairman of the New York State Democratic Committee, will speak this evning at 7.30 o'clock in the Faculty Room of the Union. Although the meeting has been organized by the University Democratic Club. It will be open to all members of the University who are interested.
Mr. Pell has written much on political subjects and has twice been a member of Congress, representing the same congressional district as Mr. Ogden L. Mills '05, who recently addressed the Republican Club. He has been president of the New York Constitutional Leagu, and is a prominent member of the American Academy of Political Science.
Mr. Bell will discuss the pratical is sues that will face the Democratic Party this year and will answer questions from the floor.
