Democratic Club Plans Progress

At a meeting of the Democratic Club held last night in Sever Hall, plans for the nominating convention in the University were definitely started. The committee reported favorably on the idea and a second committee, composed of the officers of the club with W. L. Chapin Jr. '25, William Exton Jr. '26 and H. L. Elisbree '25, was appointed to carry on the plans.

After the formal meeting was over, separate clubs were formed who advocated a single man for the candidacy. Justice Clarke, Senators Ralston and Underwood, and Governor Smith of New York Proved to be the most popular candidates for the nomination.
