MAGOWAN APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF 1927 FINANCE COMMITTEE

Drive for Class Fund Has Netted But $2500 So Far

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Robert Anderson Magowan of Philadelphia, with $650 to his credit, has been appointed chairman of the Freshman Finance Committee. The sub-chairmen are Robert Kenneth Straus of New York City, George Putnam Sturgis of Milton, and Richard Thomas Flood of Brookline, in the order named.

These men and the rest of the committee, which is listed below, were selected after a two week competition among a group of about 45 Freshmen who were chosen by the class officers to compete. As only $2500 has been obtained by this method, it will be the duty of the new committee to complete the balance of the $5000 fund.

The other members of the committee are: Borace Bowker of Hewlett, L. I., New York; Roger Sherman Coolidge of Boston; Henry Wilder Foote Jr. of Cambridge; Henry Bigelow Jackson of Milton; Richard Noel Lord of Lawrence; Richard Frothingham O'Neil Jr. of Boston; Harrison Musgrave Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan; James Walker Tufts of Pinehurst, N. C.; Lee Yates Ward of Rochester, N. Y.; and Enrique Carlos Zanett of Washington, D. C.
