R. T. Jones '24, American open champion will oppose Arthur Tavers, British open champion, for the world's open championship in a 36-hole match. It will be played on Jone's home links. East Lake Country Club, at Atlanta on April 6.
While it has not been designated as the official championship, it will be virtually so, because of the brilliant records of the two. It will also be especially interesting to all golfers because Jones has announced that he will use the new wooden clubs he designed this spring.
