Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
"Work on the new baseball cage will begin in the late summer or early fall," Major F. W. Moore '93, graduate treasurer of the Athletic Association, told a CRIMSON reporter yesterday. "As its erection will take only three months or so, it is practically certain that it will be ready for use next winter."
The Corporation has not yet decided the location of the new building, and no plans have been accepted. The cage will in all probability be 150 feet square, with a glass roof, and very similar to the present one at Phillips Andover Academy. Three locations have been suggested. The first is that the cage be built directly between the tennis courts and the open end of the Stadium. The fact that it would practically block the crowds coming out of the Stadium and that it would interfere with the straight-away make this suggestion unfeasable. The corner of Soldiers Field nearest Anderson Bridge is another possible situation. But as the cage cannot help but be an ugly structure, this position, it is argued by many, would make it too conspicuous. The third and most probable location is where the first few tennis courts are now situated.
Discuss New Locker Building
At a recent meeting of the Corporation the question of a new locker building was discussed. The present one, being very old, has outlived its usefulness it was pointed out, and there is urgent need for a new one. Major Moore advocated closing the open end of the Stadium with a stand under which could be constructed a locker building. The building could be made very imposing with towers on each corner and large arches over the straight-away and entrance to the Stadium.
"There would be a long frontage and ample space for locker rooms, lecture rooms, and even a swimming pool. The grandeur of the Stadium would in no way be lost, but rather augmented," Major Moore added.
