Cubist style may be used in the design for the Dramatic Club poster for its forthcoming play, "The Makropulos Affair", it was intimated yesterday by the club's officers in announcing the inauguration of the poster competition, set for this afternoon at 1.30 at the Dramatic Club office.
Mr. Josef Capek, who has collaborated with his more famous brother, Karel, in the authorship and production of all his plays, including "The Makropulos Affair", is a cubist painter of note. His cubist stage designing for the production of Shelley's "Cenci" in Prague was an innovation which attracted worldwide comment.
G. H. Humphrey '25, who will be in charge of the competition, will address all candidates at the meeting this afternoon. Finished posters will be handed in Friday, April 11.
