BELATED WIRE BRINGS NEWS OF RIFLE VICTORY OVER TIGERS

Telegraphic report, considerably delayed by the snow-storm, was received last night to the effect that the University rifle team defeated Princeton in an intercollegiate league match by the score of 1864 to 1757. This is the highest score of the year for the University team and the third victory. The league is composed of nine teams and although the University team is only in sixth place, it has the satisfaction of leading Princeton and Yale by a decisive margin. To-day the University team will shoot against the league-leading Norwich marksmen who have the impressive record of seven straight victories to date.

The individual scores of the University team against Princeton were as follows: G. H. Perkins '26--381; B. D. Leahey '26,--379; F. F. Potter '24, --376; Noyes, 373; Gray, 355.
