Desiring to stimulate an increasing interest and activity in musical affairs, the Pierian Sodality of 1808 is making a radical change in its policy. Previous to this time eligibility to membership has been restricted to those who are members of its orchestra, and the number has been limited. Believing there are many men in the University who sing, compose, or are interested in music from a listeners standpoint, the Sodality voted to enlarge the eligibility to its membership so as to include all men who are interested in music of any kind.
