The thirteenth ode of the second book of Horace will be the subject for translation for the Sargent Prize for 1924, it has just been announced. This prize of $100 is offered annually, in memory of John Osborne Sargent '30, for a metrical translation of one of Horace's lyrics.

The contest is open to undergraduates of Harvard and Radcliffe only. The rules printed in the University Catalogue govern the contest. Manuscipts are due at 9 University Hall on or before April 1.
