Chinese students in the University have earned considerable money in the past two years by teaching their fellow students to play the game of Mah Jongg. So, at least, reads the report of the University secretary for student employment. And this is but one of the many ways in which a great many of the students make money during the college term, and during the summer and vacations.

The report shows that students have worked as night watchmen, cooks, farmers, Pullman and street car conductors, theatre extras, and travelling salesmen.
