DISCUSSION CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS

Barrett Williams Chosen President of Freshman Organization

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A two-party system in national government was strongly endorsed at a meeting of 50 members of the Freshman Discussion Club last night in Smith Halls Common Room. Thirty men favored the continuance of the present Republican-Democratic arrangement, and only 15 advocated the addition of a third party.

In a short business meeting which followed the debate Barrett Williams '28 was elected president of the organization. J. A. Bruggeman '28 was chosen vice-president and J. R. McCurdy '28 was picked as secretary-treasurer. These three officers will constitute an executive committee which will arrange the programs of future meetings, relieving the Sophomores who have acted in that capacity in the past.
