SQUASH TOURNAMENT REACHES SEMI-FINALS

SQUAD OF 12 MEN ALREADY NAMED BY COWLES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After a week of play the University squash tournament has reached the semi-final round. The four men left are J. H. Finley '25, A. L. Smith '25, H. N. Rawlins '27, and P. M. Lenhart '27.

Throughout the tournament there have been but two big upsets, both furnished by Lenhart who, though not a seeded player himself, has defeated two seeded men, R. P. Rose '25, and L. A. Weisman '26. Rose played on team A last year, and Weisman on team B.

Lenhart is scheduled to play Rawlins, last year's Freshman captain, tomorrow afternoon. Rawlins is a seeded player, as are Smith and Finley, the other two semi-finalists.

Coach H. J. Cowles has already picked a squad of 12 men, and practice will begin as soon as the tournament is over. It is expected that the first game will be played in the early part of December. At present the squad consists of the following men: G. D. Debevoise '26, H. N. Rawlins '27, W. P. Dixon '25, last year's captain, P. M. Lenhart '27, G. J. Glessner '25, A. L. Smith '25, J. H. Finley '25, R. P. Rose '25, L. A. Weisman '25, J. McC, Roots '25, E. M. Upjoin '25, and J. W. Allen '26.

These 12 men will play each other in squad matches, and this process of elimination will continue until Coach Cowles has obtained a workable squad.
