ROOMS EMPTY IN FRESHMAN DORM

First Year Men Assigned to Gore and Standish Failed to Appear

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the first time in several years, there are several rooms in the Freshman Halls which have remained unclaimed during the first week of college. In the past, all three halls have been filled even before the last day of registration, but this year, four rooms are still vacant.

Gore Hall has three of these, and Standish has one, while Smith Halls are entirely filled. These rooms will be assigned in the near future to students who failed to receive rooms.

The situation has been complicated this year by the habit of residents of Gore and Smith Halls, of exchanging rooms overnight. This practice has disrupted the efforts of the janitors and of the postman.
