The committees which will solicit the faculty and graduate schools for subscriptions to the Student Friendship Fund in the drive for $5000 beginning Monday were named last night by F.T. Baldwin '24, chairman of the drive. A committee of five will be in charge of the solicitation of the faculty, while there will be one man at the head of the drive in each graduate school. For the most part, the method of collection will be by letter.
On the faculty committee will be Professor Bliss Perry, Professor W.B. Munro '99, Dean W.L. Sperry of the Theological School, Professor M.O. Hudson L. '10 of the Law School, and Assistant Professor J.B. Conant '14, who will be the treasurer.
The following are the chairmen for the various graduate schools: G.L. Paine 2S.A., Architectural School; W.A. Shimer 1G., School of Arts and Sciences; R.N. Peterson 2G.B., Business School; B.P.B. Chadbourne 4Dn., Dental School; R.E. Jenness 1G.Ed., School of Education; H.H. Fuller Jr. E.S., Engineering School; A.B. Burritt 2S.L.A., School of Landscape Architecture; D.P. Kingsley 3L., Law School; F.R. Parks 3M., Medical School, and P.A. Cullens 2T.S., Theological School.
The members of these committees, together with the undergraduate committee and collectors who were appointed yesterday will be present at the dinner at the Union on Monday evening, which will formally inaugurate the drive. The plans for this dinner are now complete. In addition to the speakers who have already been announced will be Professor Ralph Harlow '08 of Smith College. Professor Harlow was in Smyrna at the time of the fire two years ago, and has a wide knowledge of the conditions among European students. F.A.O. Schwarz '24, president of the Student Council, will preside.
