Playing a snappier and a harder game than their opponents, the Newton High School hockey team scored three goals to the Second Team's one yesterday afternoon on the Charlesbank rinks.
The cut of all seniors from the second team squad two days ago has considerably weakened the combination. In yesterday's game the men lacked the team work which characterized the Noble and Greenough contest.
The Newton team clearly outfought their opponents. Howland at goal proved an inpregnable barrier against the Harvard shots and the one point scored came from a scrimmage directly in front of the cage. The forward line also showed to good effect.
