SQUAD OF 30 REPORTS FOR BASEBALL PRACTICE

MANY VETERANS OF LAST YEAR'S SQUADS TURN OUT

Fall baseball got under way yesterday afternoon when a squad of 30 men turned out on the diamond. Coach Slattery put his men through an easy catching practice, followed by a short batting session. The squad then played a five inning game in which D. E. Lewis '26, D. G. Casto '26, C. J. Burns '25 and H. L. Elsbree '26 were the pitchers, and F. X. Hurley '24 and D. Sanchez '26 the catchers.

Coach Slattery announced that a five or six inning game would be played each day during the Fall practice. He further announced that this year there will be no Saturday practice throughout the Fall season.

The following letter men reported this afternoon: Grosvenor Bemis '24, F. S. Hill '24, and R. G. Norris '24. J. E. Toulmin '25 is expected back for work today. Last year's squad men who reported were: G. W. Burgess '25, E. C. Herrmann '24 and L. O. V. Mann '25.

The following members of last year's 1926 Freshman team also reported today: D. T. Allen, D. G. Casto, D. E. Lewis, H. E. Slayton, C. L. Todd, and R. S. Wright.
