Judge Robert Grant '73, president of the University Alumni Association, will be the guest of honor at the annual dinner of the Union, to be held on Monday evening, May 21.
The speakers at the dinner, in addition to Judge Grant, will probably include President Lowell; Mr. George Wigglesworth '74, president of the Board of Overseers and president of the Union; Dean C. N. Greenough '98, Professor J. L. Lowes G. '03, and Corliss Lamont '24, recently elected vice-president of the Union for 1923-24.
The Union prizes for the four Freshmen who have most distinguished themselves in scholarship and class activities during the first half year, and the Union essay competition prizes will be awarded at the dinner.
Judge Grant was judge of the Probate Court of Suffolk County from 1893 to 1922, is well known as a novelist, and has served three terms as an Overseer of Harvard. Last June the University awarded him the honorary degree of Litt.D.
