GEOLOGICAL STUDENTS GIVE DINNER TO PROFESSOR WOLFF

A dinner was held last night at the Harvard Club by students in the Geological department of the University in honor of Professor J. E. Wolff '79, who will retire next year from active duty. After several informal speeches, Dr. Wolff talked on the history of the Mineralogical and Geological departments, from the founding of the mineral collection in 1795 by Professor Benjamin Water house '86, Hon., through its subsequent growth, until the present division of geology was formed.
