The tennis squad, which had its first indoor practice in the Freshman gymnasium on Friday, will work out again this afternoon. Today a net will be put up on the basketball court and practice will consist of regular doubles matches between the members of the squad under the direction of Coach Harry Cowles.
The competition for second assistant manager of the University tennis team will open tomorrow night with a meeting for all candidates in Hollis 19 at 7.30 o'clock. Sophomores alone are eligible to enter the competition, which will last eight weeks. The work during the hour examination period will be light, and candidates, will not be required to work during the spring vacation. Besides going on regularly scheduled trips this year, the successful contestant will, in his Senior year, go with the team on its annual southern tour during the spring vacation.
