At 8 o'clock this evening in Sanders Theatre one team of the University debating squad will meet the Yale debaters on the negative side of the question, "Resolved; That the policy of the present Administration toward European affairs deserves the support and approval of this house."
The other team left for Princeton last night to debate on the affirmative side of the resolution.
The team that will oppose Yale is composed of N. E. Himes '23, E. A. Smith '25 and P. W. Williams '25. All of these men have had previous debating experience. Himes debated against Princeton last year, Smith was winner of this year's Pasteur medal and Williams was an alternate in the Oxford debate. Ex-Mayor A. J. Peters '95 of Boston will preside at the Sanders Theatre debate.
All Debaters Experienced
The affirmative team that meets the Princeton debaters at Princeton is composed of R. S. Bowers '24, R. S. Fanning '23 and Philip Walker '25. The University has an exceptionally strong team in this trio. Bowers and Fanning have each been members of debating teams for the last three years and Walker was a member of last year's team.
Sanders Theatre Audience to Vote
At the close of the Sanders Theatre debate the audience will vote for the team which they think has presented the better case. The formal decision, however, will be rendered by the following judges: Dean Homer Albers of the Boston University Law School, Reverend H. E. B. Speight of Kings Chapel and Mr. F. S. Snyder, president of the Boston Chamber of Commerce.
