Academy Quintet Shows Steadiness and Finished Play--Swanbeck and McCarthy Feature in 31-23 Victory

Steadiness and clear thinking won a basketball game for Dean Academy from the Freshmen yesterday afternoon in the Freshman Athletic Building by the score of 31 to 23. The visitors jumped quickly into a 7-3 lead and managed to keep their advantage up to half time, 14-11. Swanbeck's shooting of fouls and McCarthy's good floor-work and passing featured Dean's attack.

The second half started out differently. The team work of of the Freshman began to produce results in the form of a 21-15 lead, only to crack when the Academy players tied the score, and shot five baskets for an easy victory.
