1926 SWAMPS ALLEN SCHOOL

Freshman Basketball Team Scores Over-whelming Victory by 52-5 in One-Sided Game at Hemenway

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Sinking one basket after another in rapid succession till the score stood at 52, the Freshman basketball team swamped the Allen Military School and allowed it only five points in the Hemenway Gymnasium yesterday evening. Although the Freshmen completely out-classed their opponents, as the score indicates, yet the visitors' inability to keep in the running rested largely on their extremely poor shooting.

In the last few minutes of play, Coach Chase put in a whole team of substitutes of whom Holmes was the only scorer.

The summary:

Score, Harvard 1926 52, Allen Military School 5. Goals from floor, Jones 5, Rauh 5, Smith 4, Endicott 3, Reed 2, Elberfeld, Atwater, Di Luglio, Wain. Goals from fouls, Smith 8, Holmes 2, Hamilton.
