"President Coolidge's endorsement of the principle of the minimum wage for working women is very gratifying to all believers in the legal protection of women in industry. Great difference of opinion have existed, and probably will continue to exist, concerning the most effective means of affording protection against under-payment, and no all will approve the particular proposal which the President has made; but his public committal to the principle will hearten workers in this cause everywhere."
