Over 60 candidates were present yesterday afternoon in Hemenway gymnasium at the opening of the Freshman and University wrestling seasons. After Captain E. H. Bates '25 and Coach Lewis had outlined the plans for the season, the first practice was started.

Four of last year's veterans are eligible this year, T. W. Hoag '25, D. W. Evans '25, W. C. Westhaver '24, and Captain Bates, while three of last year's Freshmen, C. H. Bradford, B. J. Goldberg, and Captain Carl Stearns are strong possibilities for the team.

Among the 30 Freshmen who reported were L. F. Daley, captain of the 1927 football team, a heavyweight, and B. C. Turner and Percy Dove of last year's Andover team.
