UNIVERSITY BAND WILL START ORGANIZING TONIGHT AT 7.30

Director Simmons Will Give Tests to Each Candidate in Sanders

Marching formations, begun last year, will be a regular part of the rehearsals of the University Band during the football season. After the Yale-Harvard football game, however, the Band will concentrate on its winter concert program.

As the Band is open to all members of the University, especially those in the Freshman class and the Graduate schools, it is expected that a large number of newcomers will attend the trials for candidates tonight at 7.30 in Sanders Theatre. Director Simmons will give simple tests to each candidate. Those who are successful will meet with the returning members of last year's Band for a rehearsal tomorrow, and every subsequent Wednesday night.
