Five Harvard men, four graduates and one undergraduate, are mentioned in the official ranking list of the tennis players of the United States for the year 1922; issued by the United States Lawn Tennis Association Saturday. W. W. Ingraham '25 is the only undergraduate representative, being awarded third place in the junior singles ranking, and seventh in the ranking list of New England players.
Representatives in "First Ten"
In the ranking of the "first ten" the University has two representatives, R. N. Williams 2nd '16 and W. McL. Washburn '15 being placed fourth and tenth respectively. Williams and Washburn are also awarded third place in the men's doubles.
The complete ranking of the University men follows:
Men's Singles.--R. N. Williams 2nd '16, fourth; W. McL. Washburn '15, tenth; N. W. Niles '09, fifteenth.
Men's Doubles.--R. N. Williams 2nd '16 and W. McL. Washburn '15, third.
Junior Singles.--W. W. Ingraham '25, third.
New England Section.--R. N. Williams 2nd '16, first; N. W. Niles '09, third; W. W. Ingraham '25, seventh; H. R. Guild '17, tenth.
