A dinner last night at the Union to the 84 members of the Collecting Committee was the initial feature of the annual Phillips Brooks House financial campaign to obtain funds for the year's work. Vinton Chapin '23, President of Brooks House, presided at the dinner and introduced as speakers Mr. W. J. Bingham '16, Mr. Walter I. Tibbetts '17, Graduate Secretary of Brooks House, and F. T. Baldwin '24, Treasurer and in charge of the drive.

Mr. Bingham, who was President of Brooks House while in College, outlined some of his personal experiences in the work of the Association and closed with an appeal to those present to do all in their power to make the drive successful.

Mr. Tibbetts described the various phases of work which Brooks House carried on during the year, emphasizing the fact that unless ample funds were raised these activities could not be continued. Baldwin gave a brief talk on the mechanical workings of the campaign.

All collectors are expected to come tonight and tomorrow night between the hours of 9 and 10 o'clock to the Crimson Building, Plympton street, in order to turn in all funds collected and to make reports on their work.

It is planned to close the drive, the goal of which is $5,000, tomorrow night. If necessary, a clean-up campaign will be held beginning Monday.

The College has been divided into three separate districts with a different man in charge of each. M. H. Harris '24 will supervise the Yard, Raoul Pantaleoni '24 the Mt. Auburn Street District, and Brooks Potter '24 the Freshman dormitories.
