As a result of trials held last night, the remaining members of the University team which is to meet debaters from Oxford University on October 9 in Symphony Hall have been selected. The final composition of the squad is as follows: R. S. Fanning '23, P. R. Harmel '23, R. S. Bowers '24, Alfred Zinn '25, E. G. Wesson '25 and P. W. Williams '25; the last three were selected last night from 14 competitors.
During the coming week further trials will be carried on among this squad and at the end of the week the final team of three men will be chosen for the debate, the Crimson taking the negative side of the question, "Resolved: That the United States should immediately join the League of Nations".
Tickets for the debate are now on sale at Symphony Hall, the Cooperative and at Leavitt and Peirce's.
More men are needed for the Freshman and Second Assistant Managership Competitions which started last night. All Freshmen and Sophomores interested should report to R. M. Morrison '24 today between 12, and 1.30 o'clock at Matthews 36. They will be in no way handicapped because of their late start. The competition will last only until October 9.
