Although there are no comparative scores on which to base forecasts, it is probable that the Colby College baseball nine which meets the University at 4 o'clock this afternoon on Soldiers Field will present a stiffer opposition than any northern team the Crimson has met this season.
Russell, who disposed of Colby easily last year by the score of 6-2 allowing only three hits, will start in the box again today. Coach Slattery will use the batting order inaugurated in the Georgia Tech game in which Lincoln is lead-off man, followed by Gordon and Conlon in the order named. Jenkins has dropped back to Lincoln's old position in sixth place.
Colby was defeated 4-2 in its opening game by Bates last week. The former nine showed plainly its lack of practice, but should be in much better shape today.
