WELCOME COMMITTEE AND CHEER LEADERS NAMED BY STUDENT COUNCIL

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Student Council Thursday evening, it was decided to have the president of the CRIMSON keep a book containing the dates of all important college events in order to avoid the danger of having important games and meetings occur on the same day. The committee also appointed cheer leaders for welcoming visiting teams and took action on several questions involving the interest of the college.

Richmond Keith Kane '22 of Newport, R. I. was appointed head cheer leader, while Myles Pierce Baker '22 of Cambridge, Richard Robertson Higgins '22 of Winchester, and John Morrison. Martin '22 of Cambridge were appointed to assist him.

The following men were appointed to serve on the committee for welcoming and entertaining all teams visiting the University this spring: Cornelius Hawkins Hawes '23 of Fall River, chairman; Carl Vezey Chandler '23 of Dorchester, Russell Robb Jr. '23 of Concord, Corliss Lamont '24, of Englewood, N. J., and Eugene St. Rose Reynal '24 of New York, N.,Y.

Date-Book an Innovation

The date-book is an innovation this year suggested by the fact that in the past several important events have been arranged for the same day. The book will be kept by the president of the CRIMSON and men in charge of any branch of college activities must consult it before entering future dates on their schedule. In case of a conflict the decision as to which event shall take place will rest with the president, but appeal may be made by either party to the Executive Committee of the Student Council.

It was further decided that each secretary of an important undergraduate committee should send a report of the work of that committee to the secretary of the Student Council, that report to be filed in the archives of the council for the reference of future committees. The Executive Committee also approved a petition to grant H seconds to members of this year's second hockey team who were able to play only one of their regular games due to poor weather conditions. The petition will now be sent to the Athletic Committee for their sanction. The final action of the Committee was to pass a vote of thanks to Richard Chute '22, retiring president of the Student Council, in recognition of his services this year.
