Mr. Albert Mansbridge, one of the leaders of the Workers' educational movement in England, will speak at the regular weekly luncheon of the Liberal Club tomorrow. Mr. Mansbridge, who is chairman of the World Association for Adult Education and founder of the Workers' Educational Association, has served on numerous educational committees in England.
Tomorrow there will be a business meeting, open only to members of the club, in which the discussion of fundamental problems in the club's organization which was begun in the meeting on February 24, will be continued.
On Wednesday evening, March 15, at 7 o'clock, there will be a debate at the club house, on the same question that will from the subject of the triangular debate with Yale and Princeton this year: "Shall the United States recognize Soviet Russia?" Four members of the Liberal Club will make ten-minute speeches after which the floor will be thrown open for discussion. A vote will then be taken among those present. The plan of the debate is to stimulate widespread interest in the subject, and all members of the University are invited to attend.
On Monday, March 20, Mr. Scott Nearing will speak at the club. Mr. Nearing, a distinguished economist and sociologist, is best known perhaps for his work as Professor of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania before the war.
On the following Thursday Mr. Sherwood Eddy, a world figure in Christian leadership, will speak at the Union under the suspices of the Liberal Club. The Phillips Brooks House has made this talk financially possible.
