SENIOR FIVE UNEXPECTEDLY WINS

In the inter-class basketball series the Seniors created a surprise yesterday afternoon by defeating the hitherto unbeaten Freshmen by a score of 21-20. J. M. Kleberg '22 was the individual star of the Senior five with four goals from the floor and one goal from the foul-line to his credit, while J. H. Wright '25, with a total of 12 points, was the highest scorer for the losers.

This victory gives the 1922 quintet one more opportunity for the championship. If they are defeated by the Sophomores this afternoon, the Freshmen will be declared the champions, but if the Seniors are the victors, it will be necessary to decide the winner of the series by a game between the 1922 and 1925 teams Thursday afternoon.

Because of the interest shown in the inter-class basketball series the manage-men has arranged a series or intra-University games. The teams will represent various departments of the University including the Law School, the Business School, and the College. The three upper classes will make up an "all-star" team while the yearlings will enter a team of their own in the series. The first game will be held this afternoon between the Law and Business School teams and other contests will follow at frequent intervals until each team has played two games with each opponent.
