Courses for American students and teachers in French Universities, including tours in France, for this summer have been organized by the Comite des Voyages d'Etudes en France, in cooperation with the Campagnie Francaise du Tourisme. The purpose of these trips, which will require about ten weeks, is to offer an opportunity for American students and teachers to study in French Universities and to travel in France at a minimum cost.

The following educational centres will offer special summer courses and organize special summer courses and organize special tutorial classes for Americans: Universities of Besancon, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Nancy, Paris, Strasbourg, and Toulouse (summer courses at Bagneres de Bigorre), and the Institut d'Etudes francaises de Touraine et Tours.

Groups for each University will be limited, but will be arranged as far as possible in accordance with the applicants' choice. Each group will be under the direct supervision of a well known Ameri- can Professor of Romance Languages. Courses will be given in Composition, Diction, French Civilization, Grammar, History, Literature and Phonetics, as well as other special courses, and at the end of the six weeks period of study, Certificates of Study will be given.

According to present plans, men will leave New York on July 1, reaching the various universities by July 12, where they will study until August 23. They will then spend a week in Paris, during which time there will be two trips to the battlefields and devastated regions, and two sight-seeing tours around Paris, including visits to museums and galleries, and to three theatrical performances at the opera. The Opera Comique, and the Comedie Francaise. They will leave Havre on September 1, reaching New York September 10.

The cost, which will be extremely moderate, will be announced later, and will probably be $625, covering all expenses. A small payment will be required upon filing of applications, the final payment to be made before June 1.

Application blanks and the final announcement giving further details of courses, and tours, can be obtained by applying to P. G. Lepaulle, at Hampden 59, Cambridge, and further information may be obtained from him
