TWO PRIZES FOR ESSAYS

Two prizes have been offered by All America Cables, Inc., to students in the University for the best essays on "The Value of American Owned Cables to the American Government and Merchant." The first prize will be $250, the second prize $100.

The essays, of not more than 5000 words, are to be submitted on or before May 1, 1922, to the secretary of the committee in charge of the contest, Assistant Dean C. P. Biddle of the Business School. The committee in charge will consist of Professor E. E. Day Ph.D. '09, chairman of the Economics department; Professor A. N. Holcombe '06, chairman of the Government department; Professor H. R. Tosdal '15 of the Business School; Assistant Dean Biddle; and Chester G. Burden '11.

Each essay is to be signed with a pseudonym, which should also be written on a sealed envelope containing the real name and address of the writer. The successful papers will become the property of All America Cables, Inc., who reserve the right to publish them or not as they see fit. The company will give full credit to the author in the event of publication. Books and pamphlets relative to the subject will be reserved at the Widener Memorial Library.
