The University wrestling team will meet the strong Springfield Y. M. C. A. College team at Springfield this evening. The personnel of the University team has been greatly changed since its last match on January twenty-eighth, due partly to a series of elimination matches in the 135-pound and 145-pound classes. In the finals of these trials yesterday, Curtis Nelson '24 gained a place on the team by defeating G. M. Kendall '24, and L. F. Holmes '24 retained his position by a quick victory over Morris Michelson '24. In addition to Nelson, J. F. D'Wolfe '24 and Abernathy will go to Springfield as a result of consistent work in practice. That the University will need all the added strength which these changes give it, is evidenced by the impressive record of the Springfield team, a record which includes a victory over the M. I. T. mat-men. Captain H. B. Walker '22 will wrestle in both the 115 and 125-pound classes, Holmes in the 135, Nelson in the 145, D'Wolfe in the 158, C. L. Abernathy '22 in the 175, and Benoni Lockwood Jr. '22 in the heavyweight class.
