CRIMSON COMPETITIONS UNDER WAY THIS WEEK

Editorial Candidates to Meet Tomorrow at 7 o'Clock at Crimson Building--Meetings for Business and News Departments on Thursday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This week will see three CRIMSON competitions under way, one for the editorial board, open only to members of the Junior class, which will start tomorrow evening, one for the news board, open only to Sophomores, and starting Thursday night, and one for the business board, open to Freshmen only, which will also begin Thursday.

The editorial competition is the last chance that members of the class of 1923 will have to make the CRIMSON board. The work required of candidates will be outlined at a meeting, which will take place tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock in the Crimson Building, 14 Plympton street. At least two editorials a week will be expected from each candidate, and may be written either on topics connected with the University or on subjects of general interest.

The news competition is the last opportunity for 1924 men to become members of the news board. The 12 weeks competition offers candidates exceptional opportunities to get into touch with all kinds of college activities and university affairs. Valuable experience is also gained by interviewing prominent men. This competition will open with a meeting at the Crimson Building, Thursday night at 7 o'clock.

At a meeting also to be held Thursday night at 7 o'clock, in the Business Office of the CRIMSON, members of the Freshman class will be given their first opportunity to try out for the business board. The competition will last approximately 12 weeks.
