NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

NEW HAVEN, CONN., December 16.--At a meeting of the Yale football team tonight, W. N. Mallory '24 of Memphis, Tennessee, who starred at fullback on this fall's eleven, was elected captain of the 1923 team. Though unable to participate in the Princeton contest due to injury, Mallory proved his worth as an exceptionally brilliant defensive back as well as a dependable interference man in the annual battle against Harvard.

The new captain was prepared at Pomfret, Conn., and played halfback on the 1924 Freshman team. In 1921 he played at fullback against Harvard.
