Eight hundred Freshmen gave an enthusiastic greeting to the yearling eleven as they arrived at Smith Halls Common Room for the Yale game mass meeting last night.
Captain N. S. Howe, speaking for the team, declared that the thing necessary to defeat Yale was support at the game tomorrow. Coach Snow and R. M. Sedgwick 2G.B. also spoke. R. G. Allen '26 and T. F. Martin '26 then led the class in cheers for individuals on the team.
The Freshman team will meet the strong Yale eleven tomorrow afternoon at Soldiers Field. The two teams as they will go on the field are of about equal strength, the odds perhaps slightly in favor of the Blue yearlings. The only means of comparison that can be used are the relative scores against Princeton, Yale winning 21 to 0 while the Freshmen were held to a 19 to 6 victory.
Advocates Economic Cooperation
Of the several men who were injured in the Princeton game, Captain N. S. Howe is the only one still out, and he was able to report at the field yesterday and will be ready to start the game tomorrow.
J. C. McGlone a brilliant broken field runner and M. A. Cheek Jr., whose powerful rushes accounted for two of the scores in the Princeton game, are expected to star on the offence tomorrow. J. L. Combs, who assured the first touchdown for the Freshmen by blocking a punt in the Princeton game will be another strong factor for the Crimson at end.
The probable line-up as given out last night is as follows:
Grannis, r.e.; Nash, r.t.; Wheelock, r.g.; Adie, c.; Daniels, l.g.; Phillips, l.t.; Combs, r.e.; McGlone, q.b.; Cheek, r.h.b.; Mosely, l.h.b.; Howe, f.b.
