SELECTS TEAM TO MEET HOLY CROSS

Opponents From Worcester Heavier and More Experienced Than in Last Two Years--Still Many Tickets on Sale

Coach Fisher yesterday selected the team which will start against Holy Cross tomorrow and put the finishing touches on the combination with a long signal drill and dummy scrimmage during which special pains were taken to perfect the Crimson defense against the speedy Worcester backfield.

Fitts will start tomorrow on left end with Hartley on the other wing; Dunker will be in at left tackle, Eastman at right; Grew left guard, C. J. Hubbard right guard; Kernan or Bradford center. Buell, Owen, Gehrke, and Coburn will make up the backfield.

The substitutes who will probably get into action are Gordon and Crosby ends, Theopold and Greenough tackles, R. S. Hubbard and Miller guards, Chapin, Churchill, and Rouillard backs. Pfaffman will substitute for Buell at quarterback if the latter needs relief.

The Holy Cross team not only exceeds in weight but also in experience and driving power the Purple elevens of 1920 and 1921, which the Crimson defeated both seasons by the narrow margin of three points, gained each time by one of Buell's drop-kicks. The visitors will present an entire veteran backfield, which offers the Crimson probably the greatest threats it will face until late in the season.

It is expected that the Stadium will be filled tomorrow, with 35,000 seats already sold. Over 9000 seats in the wooden stands remain unsold, however, and will be put on sale at the gates as "rush seats." In addition there are about 8000 reserved seats still for sale.
